Leipzig Annual Summit
The best-known activity of the International Transport Forum is its landmark annual conference, held every year at the end of May. This unique event has quickly become the leading platform for policy debate in the transport sector since its inception in 2008. This meeting of transport ministers from the 52 member countries and beyond offers broad dialogue between policy-makers and top industry executives. A range of panel discussions, keynote speeches, project presentations, technical demonstrations and social events are organized. The high level, by-invitation-only nature of the event provides unique networking opportunities for policy-makers and business leaders. The 2011 summit, to be held from May 25-27 in the city of Leipzig (Germany), will focus on the theme “Transport for Society” and the issue how to create transport systems that users want and need, and how to increase the net benefits of transport for society as a whole.
